After graduating from BBHS, Jancourt studied fine arts at Sir George Williams University (now Concordia) and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montreal. Before returning to Israel in 1971, she did post graduate work at Concordia University and taught art at Dawson College. In 1971, Batia Eisenwasser-Jancourt began teaching at Haifa University. She served as Head of the Art Department from 1975 to 1994.

Batia Eisenwasser-Jancourt is a figurative painter working in mixed techniques and media. Her work is based on personal history, memory and cultural clichés and motifs. In addition to working on canvas with acrylic and oils, Eisenwasser-Jancourt uses re-cycled, ready-made and found photos, texts, and objects to explore the interplay of painting replica and reproduction.

Since 1971, Batia Eisenwasser-Jancourt has shown her work in many solo as well as group exhibitions in Israel, Europe and Canada. She currently lives and works in Ein Hod, Israel.
